Trouvaille Planner · Privacy Policy
Effective October 2, 2026
This policy explains how the Trouvaille Planner app (the “app”), made by Trouvaille Collective (“we,” “us”), handles your information. We wrote it in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@trouvaillecollectiveco.com.
The short version
- Your planner is yours. What you write, draw and plan belongs to you.
- We never sell or rent your information. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Ever.
- No ads, and no ad tracking inside the app.
- Your planner is saved to your own iCloud account through Apple, so it syncs between your devices. We can’t open or read it.
- Google Calendar is optional. If you connect it, your calendar is used only to show and sync your events in your planner.
- You can delete everything whenever you want.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you put in your planner (entries, handwriting, notebooks, photos, stickers, lists and settings) is stored on your device and in your own iCloud account using Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) service. It lives in your iCloud storage, under your Apple ID. We do not run our own server for your planner content, and we cannot see it.
The app may let you export a copy of your planner (for example as a file or PDF). Exports are saved wherever you choose to save them.
Information we do receive
- Purchases. Subscriptions and add-ons are sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never see your card or bank details. Apple tells us whether a purchase or subscription is active so the app can unlock what you paid for, plus anonymous sales reports.
- Offer codes. If you redeem a Founding Member or other offer code, Apple tells the app which offer was used so it can unlock the matching gifts.
- Crash and performance reports. If you allow Apple to share diagnostics with app developers (in your device’s Settings), Apple sends us anonymous crash reports. These help us fix bugs and do not include your planner content.
- Messages you send us. If you email us or use a contact form, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include, and we use it only to help you.
We do not collect your location, contacts, browsing history or advertising identifiers.
Google Calendar (only if you connect it)
If you choose to connect a Google account, the app asks Google for permission to read and update your calendar events so it can show them in your planner and keep both in sync. This happens between your device and Google. Your calendar data is stored only on your device and in your iCloud, alongside the rest of your planner. We don’t keep a copy on our own servers.
The app’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- We use Google Calendar data only to provide the calendar features you see in the app.
- We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never transfer it to anyone except as needed to provide those features, to comply with the law, or with your permission.
- No person at Trouvaille Collective reads your calendar data unless you ask us to (for example, for support), it’s needed for security, or the law requires it.
You can disconnect Google at any time in the app, or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Who else is involved
- Apple, for the App Store, payments, iCloud storage and optional crash reports. Apple’s privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.
- Google, only if you connect Google Calendar. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Our email provider, to answer messages you send us.
We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety. If Trouvaille Collective is ever sold or merged, this policy’s promises would have to be kept by whoever takes over, or you’d be told first.
Your choices
- Delete your planner: delete the app’s data in the app, or remove it from iCloud in your device’s Settings (Apple ID › iCloud › Manage Storage).
- Disconnect Google at any time, as described above.
- Delete your messages with us: email us and we’ll delete them.
- Turn off crash reports in your device’s Settings (Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements).
Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. Because your planner lives in your own iCloud, you already control it directly. For anything else, email us and we’ll help. We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Security
Your planner is protected by Apple’s iCloud security and your device’s passcode. Connections to Google use encrypted, Google-approved sign-in. No method is perfect, but we keep what we receive to the minimum we need.
Our website and shop
This policy covers the app. Shopping on trouvaillecollectiveco.com and joining our email list are covered by our store privacy policy.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
