The Pack + Outfit Edit

It's a digital packing and outfit planner built as an interactive Google Sheet, for up to six people. Everyone gets their own page — a packing list and an outfit grid — plus a family dashboard that tracks each person's progress, must-have documents, and passport validity, and a shopping list that builds itself from what you still need. It's packing, sorted — not a full trip planner (no itinerary or budget).

On each person's page, map outfits to the days of your trip, daytime and evening. Pull pieces from that person's packing list so you only pack what an outfit actually uses — fewer suitcases, no "nothing to wear."

As you go through each person's page, mark anything you still need to buy. It all collects automatically into one shopping list on Trip Info — sorted into what to order, what's ordered, and what to grab once you're there.

A free Google account and access to Google Sheets — that's it. Open your copy and work from any browser or the Sheets app on your phone.

Yes — it works in the Google Sheets app. It's most comfortable to set up on a laptop and then reference on the go.

You'll need internet to open your copy the first time and to save your changes. After that, switch on offline access in the Google Sheets app (or Google Drive settings) and you can view and edit it on the plane or anywhere with no signal — it syncs back up once you're online again.

It's built specifically for Google Sheets. Live currency conversion and a few other features rely on Google-only formulas, so we can't guarantee full functionality in Excel.

Yes — but fill it in first, because that's where the value is. As you add each person and their items, the packing lists, outfit grids, and family dashboard fill themselves in. Once it's filled in, print any page (File → Print) or save it as a PDF (File → Download → PDF) to carry along. Printed blank it's just empty templates — so enter everyone's details, then print the finished pages.

Tip for a clean copy: in File → Print, set Scale to “Fit to width” and choose “Current sheet” so nothing gets cut off — landscape suits the wider tabs.
