Newspaper Planner Dashboard — Cardstock

A dashboard is the printed page that fronts a section of a discbound planner — the first thing you see when you open it, and the divider between one part of the book and the next. It sets the tone, hides the page underneath, and gives a section a beginning.

Frosted dashboards are printed on translucent frosted plastic: you can see the page beneath, they wipe clean, and they will not crease. Cardstock dashboards are printed on heavyweight board in full color, front and back, so one dashboard gives you two looks.

It is half letter, 5.5" × 8.5", punched to the standard discbound pattern and sized for 8-disc systems — so it works with Trouvaille covers and discs and with pages and covers from other half-letter discbound brands.

The pages have mushroom-shaped notches punched along the edge that pop on and off the discs by hand — no rings to open, no rebinding. Add, remove, or reorder anything, any time.

One per section is the usual approach — so if you divide a trip into planning, packing, and journaling, that is three. There is no wrong number; a lot of people collect them and swap by trip.
